Keith Oberg - Head Baseball Coach

Keith was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts and graduated from Springfield Central High in 1991. Keith played varsity baseball and played for Team USA Baseball on a team that played in Austria and Germany. The team served as baseball ambassadors running youth camps and clinics daily and then played the Austrian and German professional teams in showcase games in the evenings. He graduated with a B.S. in Corporate Communications from East Carolina University.  

Although Keith is embedded in the business world, he also pursues his passion to teach and coach. Keith has been coaching Little League teams for the last 10 years. He has coached teams that have competed, and won, at all levels from Coach Pitch to Majors, including winning (3) annual All-Star events. Keith served for 5 years as the Commissioner and Director of the Challenge/Tournament baseball program with the Weddington Wesley Chapel Athletic Association. During this time he also coached (2) tournament teams – one that won the 8U Top Gun Baseball Summer 2018 World Series event. 

Keith is extremely excited about the opportunity to build the Carolina Red Devils Baseball Program from the ground level, and has very high expectations for his athletes both in the classroom and on the field. He and his wife Kelly have been married for 14 years and have four children, Gavin (12), Owen (10), Alison (8) and Morgan (5).

Lynn Buchanan - 
Head Baseball Coach

Lynn was born in Walton, New York and played baseball in high school.  Lynn enlisted in the Army after graduating from high school and was stationed at Camp Casey, South Korea.  During that time Lynn joined the 2nd Infantry Division softball team where he was a pitcher.  This team won multiple championships throughout the years against military and civilian teams.  After Lynn was honorably discharged from the Army and returned to Upstate New York, he continued to play competitive softball for many years.  Lynn got involved with coaching baseball in the 1990’s coaching his younger brothers Little League and American Legion teams.

In 2012 Lynn, his wife Amy, and their son Liam moved to Fort Mill, South Carolina.  Lynn and Amy have been married for 24 years.  Liam is 13 and is in eighth grade at Springfield Middle School.  Lynn is the Operations Manager at Carolina Fitness Equipment in Charlotte.  Lynn has also been working as an Umpire for girls’ softball in the Charlotte area for the last three years. Lynn has been involved in coaching Liam’s coach pitch, kid pitch, all-star and travel teams, winning multiple tournaments along the way.  Lynn has completed all New York State Coaching Certification requirements including First Aid and CPR.  Lynn is very excited to be involved with the Red Devils organization.  Lynn loves to work with kids who love baseball and come to the field and put their best effort forward during every practice and every game.

Sean Girard - Head Baseball Coach

Sean was born in Allentown, PA and graduated from South Gwinnett High School in Snellville, GA.  Sean played Varsity football and baseball and was nominated to the Atlanta Braves 400 club all star team as a senior.  Sean went on to play baseball at Augusta College where he held multiple records as a middle relief pitcher and 3rd baseman.  Sean also played 2 years with the Atlanta Crackers, a college and semi pro showcase team.  Sean graduated with a BA in Communications and came to Charlotte to start his own business in 1999. 

Sean has been coaching baseball for 6 seasons including recreational, challenge, and travel formats.  His teams have placed or won in mulitiple tournaments in USSSA, Top Gun, and HQ4 locally.  Sean is very excited to be a part of the Red Devils organization.  He enjoys bringing out the love of baseball in his players, coaches, and families.  Sean has 4 boys:  Josh (17), Eli (11), Jacob (8), and Caleb (8).

Ron Oberg  - Assistant Coach

Ron was born and raised in Worcester, Mass, graduating from North High School where he lettered in both baseball and basketball. Ron received a baseball scholarship to play baseball for Windham College in Vermont. Post graduation, Ron served (4) years in the United States Air Force teaching pilots to fly as a Flight Simulator Engineer. Ron went back to school and obtained his Master's Degree in Business Administration. Ron continued to play softball competitively and in church leagues and began his journey coaching when his son turned 8.
Ron continued to coach winning teams across multiple age brackets in both recreational and All-Star settings. When both of his kids were off in college, Ron continued to give back to the community and the kids by becoming an umpire. Ron umped for 20 years across all age groups, including high school before retiring and hanging up his baseball shoes in 2017.

Ron now enjoys his time as part of the Red Devil coaching staff, helping to instill player discipline while helping to bring out each player's maximum potential. Ron is committed to helping Red Devil players grown athletically and as young men.

Ron and his wife Donna live in Fort Mill, SC. They have (2) kids and (7) grand kids split between SC and MA.

Ryan Rullo - Head Baseball Coach

Ron Espinosa - Head Baseball Coach

Ron is a longtime veteran of youth baseball coaching having coached teams year round since 2004.  Starting in 2007, he coached players as young as 7 years old to play high school rules and compete on the national stage.  His teams have won at the local, regional and national level.  Most of his former players from that first team are now playing college ball.  Ron is youth certified, having first been certified by the Youth Sports Institute of the State University of New York in 2008.  He currently "moonlights" as a USA Football Master Trainer certifying coaches in how to coach children safely and age appropriately.
