Keith Oberg - Head Baseball Coach
Keith was born and raised in Springfield, Massachusetts and graduated from Springfield Central High in 1991. Keith played varsity baseball and played for Team USA Baseball on a team that played in Austria and Germany. The team served as baseball ambassadors running youth camps and clinics daily and then played the Austrian and German professional teams in showcase games in the evenings. He graduated with a B.S. in Corporate Communications from East Carolina University.
Although Keith is embedded in the business world, he also pursues his passion to teach and coach. Keith has been coaching Little League teams for the last 10 years. He has coached teams that have competed, and won, at all levels from Coach Pitch to Majors, including winning (3) annual All-Star events. Keith served for 5 years as the Commissioner and Director of the Challenge/Tournament baseball program with the Weddington Wesley Chapel Athletic Association. During this time he also coached (2) tournament teams – one that won the 8U Top Gun Baseball Summer 2018 World Series event.
Keith is extremely excited about the opportunity to build the Carolina Red Devils Baseball Program from the ground level, and has very high expectations for his athletes both in the classroom and on the field. He and his wife Kelly have been married for 14 years and have four children, Gavin (12), Owen (10), Alison (8) and Morgan (5).
